Creating a truly world class healthcare environment is one of the greatest challenges facing the construction sector.
With the extent of NHS expenditure on healthcare buildings totalling £5.5bn in 2008, NG Bailey can respond to the size of this challenge by making the building and its services work together to create a comfortable, relaxing and efficient 21st century healthcare environment.
To create 21st century healthcare environments, we believe in continual innovation. Our involvement in projects such as Re-Thinking Healthcare demonstrates our ability and enthusiasm to work with main contractor partners to develop and implement new ideas.
We aim to understand the key issues of the NHS as an organisation, the individual needs of Trusts and their models of patient care. This influences our role in the design, installation and maintenance of the services that manage and improve the everyday life for patients and staff, particularly those effecting lighting, ICT, security and air management systems.
Our approach is a holistic one using experienced, dedicated sector teams to bid, manage and develop partnerships with our key healthcare stakeholders and with our partner construction contractors. The role of our on-site teams includes engaging users and patients helping us to develop effective healthcare environments.
We are active participants in all areas of healthcare construction including Procure 21, the Scottish Health Framework, large PFI projects and the private health sector. We understand that each project is different – but what is consistent is the demand for intelligent application of experience.
